It's circuit is tuned such that, at full frequency operation, it closely mirrors the distinctive tones of the early NKT275-based fuzz pedals, with fat, singing sustain and excellent dynamics. It does this with the help of premium components, including hand-selected germanium Russian military transistors. The Stiletto's unique cut control is the key to achieving tones that smoothly morph from thick, full-range fuzz to a cutting treble booster sound that handily slices through the densest mix. Further control is available via the pedal's external bias knob, which can transform the tone from velvet fluidity to a thin, gated sting, or anything in between. The Buffalo FX Stiletto Fuzz is 100% made by hand, features true bypass switching, and uses a 9 volt battery or standard, center negative power supply for easy integration into any pedalboard.​
