Oh what a cool throwback set we have for today's Pick of the Day! A pairing that goes back to Jay's roots with guitar, this set comes from the original owner and is in very nice shape! All original with the exception of one tuner screw and “Norm” painted on the truss rod cover. The 1423 was the Silvertone counterpart to the Harmony Stratotone and features a sparkle-black finished semi-hollow body, bound neck, block inlays, and a pair of DeArmond Silver-foil pickups. This guitar sounds and plays great. The DeArmond pickups are sought after for their amazing tone and the “blend” circuit allows you to create the perfect balance of neck and bridge pickups. The amp sounds equally incredible and is original including the stock Silvertone branded tubes. This amp delivers warm tube cleans, rich overdrive when pushed and a fantastic tube tremolo. We powered this pair up and had Ian Crawford sit down and tear it up with this duo!
