This is one of the coolest guitars in the shop. The Over finish was something that Fender did when they had a special order for a guitar for a color that wasn't in stock. They would simply spray the requested color over an already painted guitar. Now, we are quite certain this didn't EVER happen with a Pink Paisely but man, does it look KILLER peaking through the Lake Placid Blue!
I ran the guitar through my Tweedtone5 from Sonic Pipe Amps (sonicpipeamps.com) and mic'ed it up with my trusty 20 year old SM57. No Preamp, No EQ, No Compression. This is as dry a signal into the camera I can get!
Sorry for some of the strange noises at the beginning... the camera was having some issues. We are also situated in an old building so the 60 Cycle Hum is notoriously bad and exaggerated.
