First introduced in 2016, Yamaha’s TransAcoustic series put some effects magic directly into an acoustic guitar. The TAG3 C is the latest version of the line, as well as the first model to be constructed from the ground up to take full advantage of Yamaha’s TransAcoustic technology. The solid-wood TAG3 C sounds rich, clear and vibrant all by itself, and the upgraded signal processing includes onboard delay, looping and Bluetooth audio—with expanded control available with the free TAG Remote app.

“Feedback from previous TransAcoustic generations told us players wanted more effects and more control,” says Yamaha Guitar Group Marketing Manager Brandon Soriano. “For example, the looper in the TAG3 C is super intuitive to use, and it offers an unlimited number of layers. You can have a lot of fun mixing in effects. Chorus and delay settings can be changed layer by layer as you’re looping, and a global reverb lets you put the entire loop into one distinct ambient space. There are so many unique and creative things you can do with the TAG3 C.”
