In this episode, the Red Llama's ability to seamlessly work with an existing amp tone is on full display. Tal Morris demonstrates how to use it as a clean, uncolored boost to hit your amp's front end or as a device to mix in some dirt that sounds like its coming from your amp. Like many of Jeorge Tripps' designs, this pedal is built to provide a wide dynamic range, cleaning up with a simple roll-off of guitar volume.
The transparent and organic qualities of this pedal translate to any guitar/amp combination. To demonstrate this, the next episode features the Red Llama working with a humbucker style guitar and a high gain amp setting:
