If you play your acoustic guitar percussively, you'll want to turn the Gate off in VoiceLive 3...
In fact, even playing Electric guitar can require no gate as well. It'll depend on which other guitar effects and/or vocal effects you're using at the time.
Your PA volume and speaker placement will also have an impact on how to set your gate threshold.
