Free The Tone are a high-end effects and effects solution company from Japan, headed up by Yuki Hayashi. This is their first release under the company's new banner, the now classic SOV-2 Overdrive.
Yuki Hayashi is an important technical and engineering consultant for Providence Effects, Japan. Free The Tone was until recently the elite or custom-shop department of Providence headed up by Yuki. However, Yuki now owns Free The Tone and while it is a separate company, he still acts as a design consultant and engineer for Providence who will be releasing new products in the coming months.
