This year, MXR is celebrating 40 years of innovation with a series of mini documentary videos covering its history as well as the personal stories of the lives and music it affected.
This episode focuses on Art Thompson, Senior Editor at Guitar Player Magazine/New Bay Media as well as the author of the book Stompbox, a history of effect pedals.
From his early days watching rock bands on TV, to playing with various bands, up through his tenure at one of the central hubs of the music industry, Art has seen it and played it all when it comes to guitar gear.
In this interview, Art shares his personal memories of MXR as well as placing the brand in a historical context and shedding light on its current status under the stewardship of Dunlop Manufacturing.
