Today's Pick of the Day is a fantastic Collings acoustic, specifically a D2H from 2004! The D2H is Collings’ take on the classic D-28 herringbone dreadnaught. Features a Sitka Spruce top, East Indian Rosewood back/sides and an Ebony fingerboard. Classic pre-war style appointments including herringbone trim, abalone diamond inlays, neck heel volute, scalloped x-bracing and Waverly open gear tuners. This guitar shows little cosmetic wear and is very clean. Some fret wear, but plays cleanly and easily with a comfortable modified V-shaped neck. The D2H delivers and incredible tone that is clear and articulate with lots of low end and volume. The mids are woody and airy and the top end is sweet with complex overtones. A fantastic dreadnaught! Includes original hardshell case.
