Keeley's Halo Core takes the essential features from the original Halo (an Andy Timmons / Keeley collaboration) and packages them into a super-easy interface with three big knobs, two footswitches and front-mounted stereo i/o. You can choose to tap-tempo quarter note, dotted eighth or Halo algorithm delays and secondary functions give you control over High Pass Filtering, Delay Saturation and general Tone. The Halo Core can easily be switched between buffered or true bypass and trails or no trails (no case opening necessary). If you want to run the Halo in a parallel effects loop you can also choose between all-wet or wet-dry modes. But mostly it's about the sound which is pretty euphoric.
In this video I concentrate on the 1ms - 1500ms Halo algorithm, a dual, stereo, lightly modulated delay that does everything from tight flanging/chorus through to floaty reverberated ambience. There's a comprehensive, chatty demo also on this channel at https://youtu.be/vGuMnqYcOcE
Another winner from the house of Keeley!
