Welcome back to Friends Pick Friday, and today we have Caitlin Cano in the house! Caitlin is a joy to have around the neighborhood - she owns RPM Pizza which you all should check out, and plays bass with the band Hillside '77!
For instruments and amplification today, Caitlin naturally gravitated toward a 1964 Gibson Thunderbird II with its killer looks and awesome single humbucker pickup! Keeping the same vibe, for a secondary instrument we grabbed a Mike Lull T-4 bass, hand-built by Mike himself in the Pacific Northwest. The T-4 is clearly an ode to the Thunderbird with Mike's signature craftsmanship. When it comes to amplification, we went a little off the beaten path with a Selmer "Treble 'N' Bass" 50-watt head, powering a monstrous Fender 2x15 cabinet!
