Parker Griggs and Anthony Meier of Radio Moscow recently invaded Nashville’s High Watt to shake the rafters with their brand of trippy and powerful garage rock. They took PG through their mostly vintage, road-worn gear.
In the studio, Parker Griggs digs into his cache of vintage 6-strings by Supro, Silvertone, and Harmony, but on tour, he gets it done with his 2013 Fender American Deluxe Strat with stock N3 Noiseless single-coil pickups. The original S-1 switch broke long ago, but Griggs never used it much anyway. Griggs goes with Ernie Ball .009-gauge strings.
Anthony Meier’s No. 1 in the stage and studio is his 2004 Rickenbacker 4003. The pickup cover has been removed, but other than that, the Rick is bone stock. The Rick stays strung with D'Addario's Nickel Round Wound strings.
