The ASAT Deluxe features a mahogany body with a flame maple top. We're used to alder and swamp ash on guitars like these, so mahogany's warm voice is a welcome change. The maple neck is G&L's classic C shape, and it has a rosewood fretboard with dot inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. The satin clear finish on the neck is just enough - it lets the maple breath and feel natural. The nut is bone. Electronically, this guitar has a Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck and a Seymour Duncan JB (TB4) in the bridge, a stellar combination that'll provide great sound through a variety of amp settings. There's also a push/pull coil-tap, so you can still get those classic single coil sounds when you need them. The bridge is a G&L Saddle Lock, a great design that transfers string vibration more efficiently and makes for easy string changes. Other features include G&L standard tuners and a 3-way blade switch. This is one of the most unique and soulful yet straight-ahead guitars in the G&L catalog.
