This video demonstrates how to use Werkstatt-01 to add a second oscillator to Mother-32’s voice architecture.
When people talk about a synthesizer sounding powerful or big, it’s usually because that synthesizer uses more than one oscillator in its signal path. It’s no coincidence that classic synths known for their “huge” sound like the Minimoog Model D or Arp 2600 have three oscillators. While Mother-32 only has a single oscillator, its semi-modular nature allows users to expand its capabilities via the 32-point patchbay. Using Werkstatt-01, users can mix its audio oscillator with Mother-32’s oscillator to create more robust two-oscillator patches, evoking the sound of famous Moog synthesizers like the Rogue, Prodigy, or Multimoog.
