Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com. Today, we're taking an extended look at the Tremotron Dual Trem by Stone Deaf FX. The Tremotron has so many features that just one demo wouldn't do it justice, and today we're getting into some of the more advanced features. The Tremotron's Rate control has a huge sweep, and can get into true ring mod territory, and the second trem setting can be used to modulate the ring mod tones. You get the same huge sweeps when using an expression pedal, and the Tremotron allows for simultaneous control of three different parameters. By pressing and holding each knob at the same time, the Tremotron gives hands-free control of the Rate, Depth and even Waveform knobs. By setting the Waveform knob to expression control, you can cycle through all the waveforms without bending over. The Tremotron is also equipped with full MIDI functionality, and you can access it by holding the bypass switch for five seconds. You can use MIDI to sync the Tremotron to your DAW or MIDI equipment, which is helpful to rein in complex waveform patterns. You can also use MIDI to change any parameter on the fly, or store a huge number of presets beyond the Tremotron's onboard four.
