In Part two of this Lesson we talk a little Theory and further Breakdown this Jazz Guitar Lick. We take a look at what makes these Double Stop Licks work over the Chords they are being played over. The first one is based on a D Blues Scale and the second is based on a G Blues Scale ... but we discuss how you can look at them as Major Pentatonic Scales as well.
We then BreakDown the fast Scale run that ends this Lick and explore ways to make that a little easier to play by breaking it into patterns of 2 and 3 and 4 note sections.
There are a lot of great Jazz Guitar Players out there that combine both Blues Phrases with Jazz Licks ... from Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Joe Pass, Pat Metheny, Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall, Pat Martino, Joe diorio, Barney Kessel, Ted Green, Howard Roberts, Norman Brown, Emily Remier, Tal Farlow, Herb Ellis, Lenny Breau, Django Reinhardt ... and on and on and on ...
Included in the top of that list is definitely George Benson.
