Originally inspired by the famous "Rickenbacker Jangle", Lollar designed the Broiler pickup to capture that chime and sparkle for players looking to upgrade the less desirable pickups on some newer Ric guitars. This eventually led to our Mini Broiler, which opened the gateway to that same sound for a much broader group of players. Now, with our Novel Broiler, we're expanding the possibility to even more folks; those looking to get one of the most recognizable tones from their standard humbucker-equipped instruments!
The Novel Broiler is a great way to totally change up the way your instrument sounds, offering tons of harmonic overtones and tight fundamental frequencies. Built like a true Broiler-style pickup in a humbucker-sized housing, the Novel Broiler delivers a snappy, spanky attack; articulate clarity and note separation; as well as very wide dynamic and frequency ranges that respond very well to player input.
