This year, MXR is celebrating 40 years of innovation with a series of mini documentary videos covering its history as well as the personal stories of the lives and music it affected.
This episode focuses on Richard Neatrour, the last surviving member of the original three men that began MXR in a basement workshop in Rochester, NY in 1972.
Already possessing a talent and passion for electronics at a very young age, Richard's subsequent love of music and the guitar put him on the path to channel his electronic know-how into creating the most musical circuitry he could.
Musicians and lovers of music have Richard to thank for either designing or co-designing some of the most memorable pedals and rack gear of MXR's classic years.
In this video, Richard shares his memories of the excitement and success of a start-up company that changed the music industry.
