The Strymon Deco brings the warm, saturated tones and distinctive effects that were formerly only available on vintage analog tape machines and puts these rich tones in compact pedal form. One side of the Deco is dedicated to tape saturation, imbuing your guitar sound with the smooth, fat tone and gently compressed quality of overdriven analog tape, while the other, "Doubletracker" side of the pedal functions like a second virtual tape deck, used to generate classic tape effects like tape flange, chorus, slapback, and up to 500 milliseconds of echo. Its "Lag Time" knob controls the delay offset between the two tape decks, while a blend knob controls relative levels between them. The 3-way "Type" switch alters the phase relationship between these two machines for numerous subtle shades of analog tape tone. To simulate the sound of random speed modulation on the Deco's second deck, there's the "Wobble" control, which can take you from subtle flanging all the way to more extreme, but highly musical, tape modulation effects. As with many of Strymon's feature-packed pedals, the Deco boasts a wide range of hidden functions, including high and low trim tone controls, a boost/cut function, and a wide stereo mode. It also has stereo in and out capabilities, and a jack that can function as an expression input, remote external tap, or favorite switch, for saving a favorite preset. As with all of Strymon's premium effects, the Deco was designed and built in the USA.
