The bassist behind many of rock's legendary marquee bands with 30 million records sold, Rudy Sarzo has played Peavey gear for more than 25 years, through gigs with Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Yngwie Malmsteen, Dio and Blue Öyster Cult. "When I first got my hands on the first Peavey Cirrus bass at its NAMM debut, I couldn't let go of it," said Sarzo. "My new signature-model Cirrus incorporates elements from my original Peavey signature bass and the Cirrus I played for so many years."
The Peavey Cirrus Series combines exotic wood selections and a resonant neck-through-body design with studio-quiet active electronics to create a true artist's bass instrument. Firmly rooted in the Cirrus legacy of finely crafted, tonally superior instruments, the Cirrus Rudy Sarzo Signature Model features quilt maple wings and a maple neck with mahogany stringers, graphite reinforcement and dual expanding truss rod. Peavey VFL™ active electronics provide +/-10 dB of cut and boost, while the rock-solid milled bridge anchors the 35" scale instrument. The rosewood fretboard even features the classic snake-eye inlays from Rudy's original Peavey signature bass.
