Pro tech to the stars Richard Pratt tells us all about guitar wireless systems

Welcome to the show. We’ve been asked many times to do a show on guitar wireless systems. Dan and I don’t use them for a variety of reasons (not least we don’t play on big stages!) so we called in our friend and pro tech, Richard Pratt, to explain it all.
We go through the difference between analogue and digital systems, including some of the practical considerations you really need to be across if you’re going to use wireless.
Perhaps most important of all, we then get into the tonal impacts of wireless systems, chiefly in relation to overdrives and fuzzes… before the classic distance test!
