At NAMM 2023, Jared from Audio Design Desk demonstrated the new features of the Audio Design Desk 2.0. The media bridge now works with Premiere and Davinci as well as Final Cut, making it easier to import timelines from Premiere into Audio Design Desk. The new isolator tool allows users to upload a sound file and remove unwanted sounds like a lawnmower from dialogue. Additionally, the trigger system allows for easy addition of sound effects at specific points on the timeline.
Jared showcased these features by demonstrating sound design for a fight scene. He imported the Premiere timeline into Audio Design Desk, used the isolator tool to remove background noise from the dialogue, and added sound effects using the trigger system. He also showed how to use the fully, a feature that allows users to edit sound effects by creating a custom library and chopping up stems.
Audio Design Desk 2.0 seems to be an excellent tool for sound designers, and the process of importing timelines has become much simpler. The isolator tool and trigger system also provide more control and flexibility. For more information about Audio Design Desk 2.0, visit their website.
