Dan B takes us through how he arranges his pedalboard to maximize the tone of each and every pedal. Though we'll be the first to contest, there is no "right" way to do it, there are absolutely a few basics to know before you just start jumbling pedals up and velcro-ing them to the board.

- Pedal tuners
- Tone Shaping effects (EQ, Octavers, Pitchshifters, Wah)
- Drive and Gain based effects (Overdrive, Distortion, Fuzz, Gain Boost)
- Modulation effects (Phaser, Flanger, Chorus, Vibrato, sometimes Tremolo)
- Time-Based effects (Delays, Reverbs)
- Clean Boost effects
