Today we’re bringing you a preview of a longer video that will appear on Guitarist magazine’s YouTube channel in a couple of weeks.
The incredible Tommy Emmanuel features on the next cover of Guitarist Presents Acoustic, Winter 2014 edition. He dropped in to Guitarist’s London studios to be interviewed and photographed and lucky for us he played us some tunes!
In this excerpt, Tommy plays his song Travelling Clothes on a Maton EBG808TE model. It features a solid AAA Sitka spruce top over solid Queensland maple back and sides, an indigenous Australian wood. We recorded Tommy using a pair of GT57 mics, straight into a Zoom H6 recorder, treated to a little post-production compression and a tiny bit of reverb.
