The Zola is an all-in-one tone sweetener, combining a super-high-headroom boost with an active two-band EQ for an always-on utility box that screams with all amps and guitars. The internal voltage is ratcheted up to 30 volts from a standard nine-volt power adapter, for unparalleled clarity and stacking ability. Due to this high operating voltage, no amount of pre-gain will make the Zola flub out or sound thin. This exceptional headroom means that the Zola will stack with literally anything and everything, while enhancing the character of an entire board's worth of pedals. The Zola's headroom is so high that you can place it in your amp's effects loop to kick your power tubes in the teeth while still preserving the sound of your preamp. The second half of the Zola is an active two-band EQ. When the knobs are set at noon, each band is flat, and turning them in either direction boosts or cuts the band. This active circuit can shave the hair from a set of particularly bright pickups or juice up an anemic set. The EQ also enhances the Zola's stacking ability by allowing you to run overly bright or dark pedals into it with no fuss.
