Brighter and jangly as opposed to the stronger midrange of the stock set. TVJ has all sorts of awesome replacement pickups for Gretsch, Gibson, Guild, and so many other types of guitars. Great company, great pickups, yep! Not a contest...just an example of the difference between these two sets of pups.
