The Fuzz Controller was the first handmade enclosure effect unit, by Bad Penny FX. Graphically, it is inspired by classic British design, being modeled on a vintage train-set power supply, by Meccano. Internally, it is a dynamic, modern, fuzz circuit with NOS tone-shaping capacitors.

The main fuzz is low-bodied with selection switches for harsh or light clipping, and starve. In addition, there are two boost selectable boost stages, providing cuts to either high, low or both frequency ranges. The gain control is used to clean-up the signal. In conjunction with the input volume, it can create a lightly driven purr all the way up to earth-shattering roar.
