The latest Fender Custom Shop Total Tone Strats cover 4 legendary years in Fender's rich history and contain new features that make them truly unique. First, these handbuilt guitars are equipped with retooled 2013 American Vintage hardware. After analyzing their finest examples from the 50's & 60's, Fender offers this incredibly accurate vintage spec hardware which takes the V2 Fender Total Tone Stratocaster to a whole new level of authenticity. Secondly, we took the rare opportunity to have custom designed pickups created just for the Total Tone Series. Lineage Red are offered in the Total Tone '56 and '57 Strats and have a bright and punchy tone and hotter output which gives the 50's Stratocaster a bold voice, not to mention accentuated midrange that makes itself heard on stage. The Fender Lineage Black pickup set is featured in the '63 and '65 Total Tone Strats. With a slightly lower output, Lineage Black have a mellow, sophisticated voice and a flatter EQ which provides an even balance across the neck.
