In this example, an Akai MPC1000 sends vocal samples of counting numbers to the Moog 16 Channel Vocoder’s program input. A Moog Matriarch serves as the carrier input. The Matriarch is operating in one voice mode, with each of the four oscillators tuned separately to form a seventh chord. The Matriarch’s mixer section is used to slowly add and layer the oscillators together, while the internal sequencer plays a melody.
