One of just 4 Fireglo Rickenbacker 375 "OS" examples made in 1962, this 15-inch-wide thin-body (just over 1 1/2 inches deep) full-size guitar weighs just 7.80 lbs. Double-bound hollow maple body with a two-piece maple top and a two-piece maple back. Single large 'slash' sound hole. Three-piece maple/walnut/maple neck with a nut width of just under 1 5/8 inches, a scale length of 25.00 inches and a wonderful medium profile. Brazilian rosewood fretboard with twenty-one original medium-thin frets and inlaid triangular pearl position markers. Headstock with gold opaque plastic logo plate with black lettering secured by three slot-head screws. Double truss rod. Individual 'single-line' Kluson Deluxe tuners with oval metal buttons (all stamped "D-169400 / Patent No." on the underside) and hexagonal bushings. Three Rickenbacker chrome bar "toaster" pickups with chrome covers and outputs of 3.48k, 3.48k and 7.61k. Two-tier gold lucite pickguard with four screws. Five controls (two volume, two tone and one 'blender') plus three-way pickup selector switch, all on pickguard. Rickenbacker TV style black plastic knobs with gold diamond inlays on top. The potentiometers are stamped "137 6214" and "137 6225" (CTS April and June 1962). Rickenbacker bridge and Rickenbacker Ac'cent Vibrato tailpiece. The serial number is stamped onto the double "Rick-O-Sound" and "Standard" jack plate. This beautiful super rare guitar is in mint (9.50) condition with almost no wear to the frets or fretboard, no fading, no marks - it has obviously spent 99% of its life in its case. Housed in its original Rickenbacker three-latch, rectangular silver hardshell case with black leather ends and red plush lining (9.25). Included in the case is the original brown leather guitar strap, the original allan-key bridge adjustment tool, the two original case keys in their manilla envelope, an original (1962?) Rickenbacker "Accessories" printed sheet and an empty box of (1962?) Rickenbacker strings. Just four 'Fireglo' 375 "OS" guitars were shipped in 1962 out of a total of 23 examples shipped between 1960 and 1968. There were also 24 'Natural' examples shipped between 1959 and 1968…
