The Keeley Katana Boost is the ultimate boost for the player that just wants more of their amp. Kick it on and it becomes the ghost in the signal chain, like your amp's volume knob suddenly went from ten to twenty. The Katana owes this tremendous clean-boosting power to its internal voltage-doubling circuit, so even though it only requires a normal 9-volt DC in, it actually operates at 18 volts for huge headroom and ample clean power. Transparent boost isn't all the Katana does, however, even in spite of its simple appearance. Pull out on the pedal's side-mounted speed knob, and it assumes a dirtier, more aggressive persona, blending a touch of its own tube-like, dual-FET derived gain with your amp's natural overdrive for a bit more punch and cut.
