He is also the songwriter and guitarist for the band Toto. This Luke III Ball Family Reserve is just as versatile as the guitarist it is named for. From pure rock to smooth jazz this guitar can cover it all. The DiMarzio Transition pickups have excellent clarity even with heavy distortion. The bridge pickup is perfect for rock. Mid-range punch with a gritty bite that is great for chords and soloing. The neck pickup is a wonderful blend of warmth and depth. Jazz players will love it balanced response. Blues and rock players will enjoy the smoothness and sustain. The 2 and 4 position split the coil giving you superb single coil tones that works for clean rhythm and ice picky blues and country leads. The push/push volume has an active preamp with 20db boost that takes this guitar to another level.
