Here it is, the start of a series specifically featuring the six, yes SIX, "Burst" guitars we have in our shop right now! For those of you that aren't aware, a "Burst" is a Gibson Les Paul Standard built between the years of 1958 and 1960, and are hailed as some of the best solid-body electric guitars ever made. When you hear one in person, or (even better) play one, you'll know why these guitars have earned this title. Today's guitar is from 1959, and it is an absolutely stunning instrument! We'll let Jay dive into the details on this beauty before we hand it off to our friend Dan Phelps for a demo through the 1992 Matchless DC-30 we have (before it leaves the shop!) We'll be featuring these guitars over the next week or so, so please check back for more!
