The '63 Total Tone Stratocaster is a legendary creation from the skilled hands in the Fender Custom Shop. This light relic includes strategic abrasions and realistic aging on the pickup covers, pickguard and the newly retooled American Vintage hardware. Accurate steel bent saddles, American Vintage tuners and specs like a round laminate rosewood fretboard with 21, 6105 frets give this '63 a new level of authenticity. The Sonic Blue finish has a thin Nitro Lacquer which will age just as nicely as the originals. A 1 piece quartersawn maple neck is shaped to the oval "C" profile while the fingerboard gets a versatile 9.5" radius. This '63 Total Tone Strat is also loaded with a custom set of Lineage Black pickups, which are wound just for the 60's Total Tone Strats. These Fender Custom Shop single coils have a balanced EQ that gives the Stratocaster a rich, refined clean tone or a velvety smooth distortion.
