I traded the Fender Deluxe Tele for a Gibson ES339. Much more my style of guitar. But before I trade any guitar, I fix anything wrong with it, clean it up and put fresh strings on it before I finally set it up. I tried using car polish on a pickgaurd for the first time. Worked fantastic for getting rid of scratches. Try fine scratch remover on any pickgaurd, and it'll bring it to almost new looking. Legit;-)
