Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com. today we're blasting off with the F.13 from Alexander Pedals. The F.13 is a flanger done in only the way Alexander Pedals can, by giving the classic effect a host of modes and options in a compact enclosure. The F.13 gives you standard controls such as Mix, Rate and Depth, as well as a Regen control that provides both positive and negative feedback. The first mode is Step, which turns the flanger effect into an eight-position segmented wave rather than a continuous one, for robotic chirps and jarring flange tones that will jazz up any line. Sweep mode acts as a traditional flanger but with a twist: Instead of a typical sine or triangle wave modulation, the F.13 uses a hypertriangular LFO wave that spends more time in the interesting parts for a smoother, more musical effect. In Sweep mode, the Regen control is off at noon, and rolling the knob left or right introduces negative or positive feedback for a wide palette of flanger sounds. Setting the Rate control to zero in this mode turns the F.13 into a locked flange filter that adds plenty of texture to any tone. Dynamic mode is an Alexander exclusive, where the flanger's delay time is determined by the volume of the input signal. This turns the F.13 into a pick-sensitive wobble machine that gives you a never-before-heard type of effect, lending extra flavor to any part needing a little spice. Like each and every Alexander pedal, the F.13 is made by hand by a team of skilled humans within a confidential stateside facility.
