Can a good quality vocal microphone hold up in the world of recording from guitar cabs?

Here I put the Sennheiser e838, a dynamic microphone best suited for live vocal applications to the test against a Shure SM57, the industry standard for guitar cab mic'ing.

Both microphones offer clarity and have enough presence to cut through a mix. Can the Shure SM57 keep its crown?
