The SOL is a straightforward box containing two independent analog effects that are a tried and true combination. First in the chain is a dynamic one-knob fuzz that can be anything from big and burly to clean and striking thanks to its simple transistor circuit The Output knob allows you to not only fine-tune your levels but determine how hard the next effect is pushed, a lamp-based Vibe. This stripped down chorus-mode vibe gives you the most widely used parameters for simple dialing in of lush phase tones and earth shattering pulses. The depth has a huge range since the Vibe circuit is overpowered to deliver more throb than most large while large Rate knob delivers anything from warm rays of sun to icy ripples of modulation that are just as addictive when stacked with fuzz. Like all Fjord Fuzz pedals, SOL is handmade in Norway with great attention to detail and features easy to use controls and a backlit metal faceplate that ages beautifully over time.
