I spent a little time dialing in the new Mean 90's - it takes me some time before I feel like I get the pup height just right. I like the bridge nice and high, but sometimes it gets too close and picks up a lot of noise from my palm hitting the bridge. I also don't want the neck to be too far down in the body, but it tends to be louder. Then when you put it in the middle position combining both pups you get some sweet magic going, especially clean.
This is just some clean rhythm playing using all pickups. I am very happy with the cleans, much better than the stock HB's to my ear. Much more sparkle and the middle position sounds fantastic.
Using a PRS McCarty Standard and a Frenzel 5E3 deluxe plus (think Fender Deluxe clone) with a speaker cab sim in Guitar Rig.
