http://www.guitarBreakdown.com - Guitar Amp Review of The Spectraverb by Andrews Amplification - this is a 40 watt, all tube 1x12 combo.
In this Amp Review Carl Culpepper walks through many of the tonal options from the 40 watt combo version of Andrews Amplifications Spectraverb Series. Carl discusses some of this Amps unique features including a nice Reverb Limiter Control ... all while playing some great clean tone and distorted riffs.
Quoted from the Andrews site:
The Spectraverb name signifies a full spectrum of tones and reverberation. The Spectraverb amps feature extremely sweet reverb and work very well with a variety of pedals. As with all Andrews amps, these models are built to the highest standards of craftsmanship and are finely tuned for the ultimate tone.
The Spectraverb amps are based on the famous blackface AB763 circuit with some notable upgrades. The Spectraverbs are very pedal-friendly and feature extra-lush spring reverb and features an innovative reverb limiter control. These hand wired all-tube amps utilize two 12AX7s, two 12AT7s, a GZ34 tube rectifier and two 6L6GCs (40 watt model) or two 6V6GT (20 watt model). Like other Andrews amps, only very high quality components are used throughout. The amp is clean up to around the 11:00 position and builds into a nice classic American crunch in the higher settings.
