Chicago Music Exchange has officially launched “Gettin’ Out of the BASSment,” a new video series hosted in partnership with Bass Player Hosted by CME Assistant Manager and resident bass authority Marc Najjar, the monthly series will feature behind-the-scenes interviews about and demos of unique basses available exclusively at the Chicago-based retailer. The series breaks out of the shop’s famous video studio to explore various points of interest within the bass community. This includes visits not only to the workshops of the world’s foremost custom bass luthiers, but also to notable Chicago landmarks curated around the features of specific basses.
The inaugural episode of “Gettin’ Out of the BASSment,” appropriately filmed at local coffee gurus Metric Coffee Roasters, features the Sandberg VM5 Cappuccino Burst bass. Featuring a highly unique, custom Cappuccino finish specially created by Sandberg, the bass is exclusively available with a Masterpiece Aging treatment and captures a perfect medium between the familiar vintage tones of antigua and blonde.
