Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com, today we’re navigating the Seafoam Plus, from Keeley Electronics. Keeley’s studio takeover has expanded to chorus, and the Seafoam+ delivers a full plate of the stuff in a compact enclosure. Three modes reside within the Seafoam+, with four knobs that govern each. ADT/Dimension or Pure Chorus is a unique detuner that combines 3 voices at different pitches and runs them through a simulated Marshall Super Lead. To expand on the sound, the Depth controls the double tracker delay while the Space adds a helping of Keeley’s own Abbey reverb. Seafoam mode is a straight-forward classic chorus with a tone control that enters wobbly BBD vibrato territory with a wet Mix. Dual Chorus mode finds users on the wild side of chorus, with the signal split into two channels with a crossover point at the high E string. Each channel is individually modulated and the result is an ultra-lush studio quality sound, tailor made for spatial exploration. Certain knobs perform alternate functions based on the mode, for a truly versatile chorus odyssey. To top it off, each submode is available in a Bass-friendly configuration and with a vintage voice via 2 internal DIP switches.
