The Throbak Strange Master is based on the Dallas Rangemaster germanium treble booster, but with some clever features that make it a much more versatile pedal than you might expect. First among these is a Germanium / Silicon selector that lets you switch quickly between these two unique sounding transistors. A HI / Lo switch lets you choose between classic treble boost and a more transparent, full range boost for a fatter tone. But Perhaps the most distinctive feature of the Throbak Strange Master is the Bias adjustment knob, which lets the guitar player adjust the character of the boost from squishy to tight or somewhere in between. The Throbak Strange Master is built using superb components, including hand-selected Germanium and Silicon transistors, and features True Bypass switching.
