Steve Gibson is one of the most recorded guitarists in the world, having played on over 200 # 1 singles across a variety of musical genres. In our Truetone Lounge interview, Gibson speaks of his early years in Peoria, IL, and why he decided to move to Nashville to pursue studio work, instead of touring. We discuss his work in 70's adult contemporary and the incredible experience of recording with George Harrison at his Friar Park home. Steve then shares some of the highlights from his huge log of session work, and about his experiences as the Musical Director for the Grand Ole Opry for the last 15-years. We close our interview with a few of Steve's favorite guitars, that include a 1955 Stratocaster, 1958 Telecaster, and a 1966 ES-335.
