Strutting retro-modern flair, the show-stopping Meteora guitar debuted in 2018, as part of Fender’s Parallel Universe series. The American Ultra II version of this offset, which drew inspiration from the Jazzmaster and Telecaster, delivers enhanced comfort and effortless playability with sculpted body contours, a quartersawn maple neck with Ultra Satin finish, Modern D profile, 10" to 14" compound radius ebony or maple fingerboard with rolled edges, a tapered neck heel and Luminlay side dots. The Ultra II Meteora also provides flexible tone crafting with two Haymaker humbuckers and a Fender S-1 switch for coil splitting.

“I use a lot of fuzz pedals, and I would immediately go to a fuzz when I have a guitar that looks and feels like this,” says Tim Stewart (Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Suicidal Tendencies) of the Ultra II Meteora. “These Haymaker pickups are fire. They sound a little bit tighter compared to a [conventional] Tele or a Strat, and handle the fuzz in a way that’s appealing and inspiring. Another great feature of this guitar is the S-1 switch—which is clutch. Now, you can toggle between single-coil and humbucker tones for a total of about six different sounds. I would use the S-1 switch all the time—especially if I’m taking one guitar, and I need to play a variety of styles. It’s so good. Guitars should be fun, and the Fender American Ultra II Meteora is a lot of fun.”
