Two new drives are being offered by prestigious Japanese company, Free The Tone, as the end of April 2018: The String Slinger Overdrive (see: https://youtu.be/HlZM5E0EcNE) and this one, the Fire Mist Overdrive. The Fire Mist is a hotter, richer affair, more in line with the British sound. It has the heat but it manages to retain note definition even at higher gain settings - and there's something very alluring about its complex harmonics and distortion. In short, it's a little bit different to the competition - in a good way - and that's possibly due to Free The Tone's recent enlistment of one Mr Hiro Chujyo who is now working in tandem with FTT founder, Yuki Hayashi. This is a great distortion pedal. Check it out.
