This video explores how to add accent level control to acid bass lines using Mother-32’s patchbay and v2.0 firmware.
When discussing acid bass lines, it’s impossible not to mention the Roland TB-303 synthesizer. One of the unique features found on the TB-303 is note accent level control via the accent knob. The default behavior of the Mother-32 sequencer allows for full-strength accented notes, but with new settings in firmware version 2.0, the VC MIX knob can be used to add an accent level control via the patchbay. Mother-32 even lets users go a step further than the TB-303 by allowing for voltage-controllable accent level, adding a new dimension to the classic acid bass line.
