You just heard and felt the Sub Machine, straight out of the MXR Custom Shop. Building on the already-awesome La Machine, the Sub Machine lets users switch in a sub-octave so seismic that it only could have been made in California. With only the left footswitch engaged, the signal is bathed in rich, saturated fuzz that delivers a wide range of colors with its tone control. The Sub knob is actually a blend control for the sub-octave signal, where it ranges from invisible to full on teeth-rattling low-end. The upper octave heard in La Machine is now available as a footswitch, a perfect way to soar into a hazy lead or add raspy ring mod textures to simple arpeggios. Plus, the Sub Machine's Series/Parallel switch lets you either run the Sub Octave into the fuzz for full fuzz mayhem or in parallel for a three dimensional fuzz with tighter tracking and huge bass response. The MXR Sub Machine is made in the USA, and features road-ready housing and more firepower than a Chicago typewriter.
