Today we have a blast from the past, both figuratively and literally! This mid-1930s Audiovox lap steel and amp set have a relatively wild Seattle history that we'll let Jay tell the story of, but just know that these two are both in good condition save for some expected wear and unexpected bullet holes (yes, bullet holes...) from its past. That said, this little thing screams! It has a single huge pickup underneath the mirrored pickguard, and the amplifier breaks up into a fantastically dirty sound that pairs so well with the sound of a lap steel. A cool thing for us is that Audiovox and its owner Paul Tutmarc were a Seattle based, and having been born in 1896 Paul performed in the area all the way up through 1967, and taught lessons until his final days in 1972. Now, Jay isn't a steel player, but he'll be plugging these two in to give you an idea of just how cool they sound!
