At Bristronica 2024, we caught up with Andre from Blue Catch who introduced us to their new prototype, the Endless Processor. Andre explained that this modular device functions as an endless sound sustainer, capable of processing any audio input, such as an oscillator or sampler, to create a seamless stream of sound. The module mimicked a freeze reverb effect, preserving the timbre and frequencies of the input audio.
The Endless Processor featured dual channels with five layers each, allowing you to stack or switch between them to craft complex soundscapes. It supported automation, controlling transition speeds via CV inputs, and came with an expansion for pitch control. Memory storage was flexible, utilizing RAM and an SD card for storing banks of sounds, which could later be exported for further manipulation. Andre mentioned the module is priced at 300 euros, with availability spread across global retailers.
